Iuliia Skubytska

Biography

Dr. Iuliia Skubytska is an Associate Research Scholar in the Human Rights Project at Bard College, USA. Dr. Skubytska is a historian of Ukraine and the Soviet Union, specializing in the history of childhood, oral history, and public history. She received her Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania in 2018. In 2020–2022, Dr. Skubytska worked as Director of the War Childhood Museum’s Ukrainian office. Currently, she is working on a book manuscript titled “Artek: Ultimate Soviet Utopia.”
