Ulla Lachauer, born 1951 in Ahlen/Westphalia. Oral historian, author and documentary filmmaker, specialising in Central Europe - flight, expulsion, trauma and new beginnings. Witness to the liberation struggles and transformation processes of 1989ff, especially in Lithuania. Book biographies, e.g. ‘Paradiesstraße’ and ‘Ritas Leute’.
