Ana Sofia Ferreira

Biography

Ana Sofia Ferreira is an assistant professor at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Porto and a researcher at the Institute of Sociology of that university. She has a PhD in History, specialising in Contemporary History, from Universidade Nova de Lisboa, with a thesis entitled Armed Struggle in Portugal (1970-1974). She has worked on the themes of political violence, the radical left and the role of women in the Portuguese revolutionary process.
