Chiara Paris
Biography
Chiara Paris is a PhD candidate in Historical Studies at the University of Milan, investigating the Ernesto de Martino Institute and the origins of Italian Oral History. In 2015, she earned her undergraduate degree in History at the University of Bologna, with a thesis examining internal migration within Italy’s borders during the post-World War II period (Supervisor: Marica Tolomelli). In 2018, she completed her Master’s degree at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, with a focus on oral history related to marital migration between Italy and Canada (Supervisor: Alessandro Casellato). From 2020 to 2022, she held the position of researcher at the History and Memory Observatory of the Giangiacomo Feltrinelli Foundation in Milan. Currently, she is a board member of ASIO (Italian Association of Oral History) and she also collaborates with the journal Il de Martino. Storie, voci, suoni and with Maremosso magazine, published by Feltrinelli.
