Arzu ÖztÜrkmen

Biography

Arzu Öztürkmen is professor of folklore, oral history and performance studies at Boğaziçi University in Istanbul, Turkey. Her oral history research focused on the memory of ethnic conflict and women’s everyday life in Black Sea, and on the social actors of folkdance, tourism and television industries. She formerly served in the boards of IOHA (1996-2000) and SIEF (2013-2017), and is currently a member of JAF editorial board.
