Urška Lampe


Biography

Urška Lampe is a historian and research fellow at the Institute IRRIS for Research, Development and Strategies of Society, Culture and Environment, where she is the head of the Centre for Oral History. She received her PhD in 2016 and in 2018 she was awarded the Slovenian Research Institute (SLORI) Prize for her doctoral dissertation Deportations from Venezia Giulia region after the Second World War, 1945-1954. Between 2020 and 2024, she was Marie Skłodowska-Curie IF fellow at the University of Ca’ Foscari in Venice under the supervision of Prof. Alessandro Casellato. She is author of numerous scientific articles, editor of two high-impact scientific journals (Acta Histriae and Annales, Series Historia et Sociologia) and curator of the trilingual travelling exhibition Memorie liberate / Osvobojeni spomini / Unchained memories, inaugurated in Venice in April 2024.
